Hello!
On first glance I thought, all these rather large and robust
Eristalis from yesterday at the forest (northwest Germany) were
E. tenax (the only species seen so far here this year). But on a closer look I saw, that the legs are yellow! So all
E. pertinax (two females and a male)? Thanks!

You're right J?rgen, E. pertinax female and male because of the yellow fore and mid
tarsi.

Thanks a lot! I knew that
E. tenax was unlikely because of those light tarsi, but I was not sure if other species than
E. pertinax were possible (the
E. pertinax males I knew had a more conical abdomen).
