Male Pollenia sp. (Calliphoridae).

Thanks Stephane. I've looked at Pollenia images in the gallery - there are a couple of P. rudis males there which have similar abdominal patterns. However I thought P. rudis had golden hairs on the thorax which these don't seem to have.... Could it be rudis?

Hair can disappear on old flies. It could be P. rudis, but I doubt it is possible to tell without the specimen in hand.

Actually I think male Pollenia probably can be ID'd from photos. I'm working on it. Give me 6 months B)
