hi Flyforum,

This fly found on bark of Fraxinus excelsior in the Amsterdam forest.
date: 12-04-2008 / afternoon.

On the abdomen there is some whitish 'dust', you can see a bit of it.

Is it Phaonia?

anny suggestion?

No, Robert, I'd say it is Pegomya, Anthomyiidae

Thanks Nikita!

I see some similarities now.
- long legs
- elongated
- abdomen a bit pointed, small and between the tergits lines.
- white frons.
