Hello!

Two 8-10 mm flies from today at trees (forest edge, northwest Germany). Both same species (Phaonia sp.?)?

With carefullness, first seems to be female Helina evecta, second Phaonia tuguriorum/scutellata.

Thanks! Helina evecta was quite numerous here in the last two or three weeks, but this one seemed not dark enough for my eyes.

In contrast the legs of the second fly seemed too dark to me for P. tuguriorum ;), which was very abundant from late autumn to late winter, but not in the last time.
