Can this be ID'sd to genus? Are male genitalia (from this fly) of any help for identifying Tachinids?

Hi Tony,

Wonderful photos, as usual! :)

In general male genitalia can be very useful in getting identifications but often they are not enough to point at a genus or they just tell you what it can't be. In this case I'd say it is one for Jim O'Hara because I don't know anyone better than him on nearctic tachinids. :)

Cheers, Chris R.
