Hello!
Can someone ID this fly? I suppose it belongs to the family Helomyzidae, but I'm not sure for 100%. If possible, what genus it is?
It's been found last July (1st) in a pea crop in Voronezh region (Central European Russia). It has about 4 mm body length (not more).
Thanks in advance
Sergey

It is probably genus Oecothea (mid femur setulose in the middle part).
Maybe you have an other picture (from lateral view) ? for better ID.

I took another picture of the fly with side view as Andrzej asked. Maybe it will help to ID the fly more precisely.
Thanks. Sergey

Hi Sergey !,
there is a male specimen belonging to fenestralis species sroup , maybe you should prepare the sur(gono)styli from epandrium to explain the shape and chaetotaxy.
