Hello!

Found today at 2 ?C at forest (northwest Germany), length about 6-8 mm. I assume, it is a Tachinid (?).

I must admit, the one today did not remind me very much of that fly (smaller, less shiny, not so strikingly large antennae).

Excellent job by Stephane

This is a female, Juergen, previously you had a male (according to your description).

Hello, Theo!

Thanks to you both!

So females are smaller? Or was that just because of normal size variation between individuals?

Size is never of importance in parasitoids: it depends largely on the host.
