What is the main distinction between Faniidae and Platypezidae larvae? Position of the spiracles? And how about the processes on the ventral side? This seems to me like Platypezidae, but probably I am wrong as I see the Faniids larvae.... ;)

11 abdominal segments is a rule for Fanniidae. I don't know any exceptions to this rule.
Both Platypezidae and Fanniidae as far as I know... have lateral processes. Both have flatten dorsoventral body.

To me this seems to be a Fannia sp.

The fourth and fifth images show us the cephalo-pharyngeal skeleton. (in last we can see but in frontal view but not so good at the others.)
