For this species in Denmark to occur in April is rather early (Stephane identified it correctly), first generation is more to be expected in may.
Later in summer occurs a second generation.

Great photos of an unusual fly :) I have only seen it once here in England in summer and I still remember the odd, 'drunk' way that it ran across leaves :D
