Hello everyone,
A friend of mine made these photos of a conspicuously large and long-legged Rhagio in the Aarhus Forestry Botanical Garden, Denmark. 12. August 2026.
It seems to fit with
Rhagio conspicuus, but Denmark is well outside the range of the species, although it has been recorded from Norway according to GBIF.
Rhagio conspicuus has never been found in Denmark. So the question of the day: Is it or isn't it? :)
Comments, suggestions, opinions are most welcome!
All the best,

I think you are seeing ghosts and it is simply a female tringarius in bad light.

Perhaps! We'll never know for sure. None of my friends have the heart to collect ;)
Thanks anyway. I'll pass on the news!

Sorry, but I know for sure this is tringarius, no doubts here.
