Hello everyone,
I would appreciate a bit of help with this one ... Looks kind of special, but I can't place it.
Photos were taken on the island Bornholm (DK) in the Baltic on May 15 2022.
All the best :)

Hello Walther, as far as I can see: a male
Nemoraea pellucida (Meigen, 1824).

Thanks, Eric!
Yeah, I thought about that too. It's just that its proportions seem wrong, somehow. But I'm sure you're right.
Nemoraea pellucida is a very recent addition to the Danish fauna. Perhaps even within this decade. In all likelyhood.

I'd go for male Winthemia cruentata.

Thanks Theo,
The proportions of the fly are wrong for Nemoraea pellucida, and yes, they fit much better with Winthemia.
A shame that it can't be determined to species level. But we can live with that!

cruentata is mentioned for Denmark, and rufiventris is not.
