Using Alexander's guide to the crane flies of Connecticut I get
Tipula (Yamatotipula) aprilina Alexander, 1918. The ninth tergite has four lobes, the outer lobes blackened. See figure 28A.

See reference Alexander 1966g at https://ccw.naturalis.nl. Despite its age - it is a minor revision of a work written in the 1930s - for much of the crane fly fauna of the Northeast it is the best reference available.
