Hello ereryone,

is Tipula species correct? Maybe it´s oleracea? It was attracted to light, and I have noticed then, that it was "fairly big".

Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, Stux hill, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), nearby deciduous forest (oak, Fagus ...), April 20th, 2025

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Very likely a female T. oleracea (the similar T. paludosa female has distinctly shorter wings)
