Hello ereryone,

is my suggestion correct? The larvae of this fly came out of a noctuid caterpillar, i thine Noctua comes (not quite sure).

Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, Stux hill, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), nearby deciduous forest (oak, Fagus ...), december 15th, 2025; the caterpillar I found in mid october.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Yes, a very fresh male Linnaemya picta, I think.
