A lovely evening. One Question please. Could this be Musca osiris? Unfortunately I only have this one photo. I would be very grateful for an answer.
Finding data: Austria, Lower Austria, Tattendorf, 220m, flowering meadow next to Auwald, July 31, 2025, size approx. 6-7mm

Muscidae is correct, but the cell r4+5 is less narrowed than in Musca. Also, the colour of the thorax looks metallic green like Eudasyphora. Let's try it again next year.

Musca osiris was originally my idea (in other forum), after I found no similar fly in the gallery or elsewhere on the net. Mostly the orange triangle markings at the abdomen excluded all flies like Eudasyphora or similar. I don't know, what else it could be. :|

Hello Jürgen, thanks for the info. I understand why you chose M. osiris, but this single image is not enough to be sure (eyes should be densley haired, anterior spiracle white...)
