In my verandah, in southwest of France, I found near the window which would appear to be a Therevidae.
In this site ( https://journal.fi/entomolfennica/article/view/84287/43358 ) it is said :
"
Front tibia longer than front femora. Head(in dorsal view) as broad as mesonotum.Front femora with anteroventral bristles.Mesonotum with distinct light longitudinal stripes. Anterior part of tergites 2–5 with dark bandextending medially near to posterior edge (posterior of tergites 2–4 with complete bandofgrey pollen)".
Does everything correspond to one Thereva microcephala ??
Thank
Williams

I'm sorry but for me there are not enough details visible to make a reliable ID. It is
not T. microcephala as the dark bands of the anterior part of tergites 2–5 do
not extend medially near to posterior edge...
