Is this a calliphorid?

Nice photo! It's calliphorid, could well be Calliphora. From which country was this fly collected? Since most of us here at diptera.info are (at the moment) central or north european we tend to assume any flies are from this region; if this is for example a Australian fly my guess is totally worthless.:|

It could also be Cynomyia - their abdomen has more mettalic color than Calliphora. Anyway, Kahis suggestion is worth considering ;)

Andrius is right. I recalled Cynomya as having an all-yellow head, but I was wrong -> Cynomya mortuorum.

Thank you for your replies. The fly is collected in Norway.

I guess Cynomya mortuorum may be right: http://www.dipter...p?photo=13

somehow my post got lost,

but this is definitely Cynomyia mortuorum.
No question.
Only Calliphorini without greyish tomentum on the abdomen.
(Of course, you have Lucilia and Chrysomyia in other tribes, all very different).
