Hi, is this a female Phaonia trimaculata?
- scutelum with 3 black patches and orange tip
- 2+3 acrostichals
- 2+4 dorsocentrals
- hairy eyes
- darkened cross veins
- arista feathered
But the hind/mid tibiae and femora tips should be orange/brown? I couldn't get a good look at the hind tibiae either.
Can someone confirm or correct this? Are there alternatives?
Northern Germany, Hildesheim, 25.02.2025, 76 m, basking in the sun, ~5-10 mm
Thank you in advance,
Stephan

Female
Phaonia trimaculata is correct ("legs black, mid and hind tibia
often brownish to yellow"). from Gregor et al (2016): Manual CE Muscidae
