Hi
I have my first specimens of Chamaemyia from the Faroe Islands (NE Atlantic). My guess would be C. polystigma, but I am a bit confused about the color of the antenna. It seem to change color when looking at it from different angles. Differs between sexes
Attached are photos of male and female

Thanks

Chamaemyia is a snake pit and they are difficult (if not impossible) even with specimens at hand (ample variation in colour and different interpretations of species and their accompanying names). Against polystigma is that there seems to be some darkening on the tibiae whereas most keys seem to attribute this species with entirely yellow tibiae.

Thanks Paul
It looks like it is safest to keep this on genus level.
I have had a look in previous threads that also come to the same conclusion.
Hopefully someone will sort this complexity.
