Hello,
I photographed this fly in Campo Imperatore (AQ), Italy, 2150m a.s.l. on September 10th 2024. In this case I'm not even sure which family it may belong to. Is it possible to identify it based on these photos?
Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

No vibrissa so no Clusiidae. Impression is Opomyzidae but not one I recognise.

Opomyza thalhammeri, which is indeed known from Italy.

Thank you all very much! The first option I though of was indeed Opomyzidae, but I too couldn't find any matching species.
