Hello,

I photographed this fly near Lago Inferiore del Roburent (CN), Italy, 2200m a.s.l. on August 18th 2024. Is it a Dinera? And is it possible say something about its species based on this photo alone?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Male Dinera carinifrons, I think: 3 dc postsutural, mid-dorsal depression of syntergite 1+2 doesn't extend to the posterior edge.
