I thought, the greenish glance only occurs in
aeneum, while
simillimum is plain blackish (?).

I am afraid you are wrong there, these are very similar (hence the name
simillimum) and can be searated using genital structures, a few leg characters (males only, if I am correct) and I know of a dust pattern character but that is virtually never visible in pictures.
