Hello,

I photographed this fly in Bagni di Vinadio (CN), Italy, 1300m a.s.l. on August 16th 2024. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species based on these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Thank you! Which features could be useful to choose between these two genera?
I have two other pictures of this individual, but they are similar to these ones I already uploaded.

So, gut feeling was wrong: in Pachystylum palpus is black and tergites have dark hind margins.
