A familiar-looking fly, attracted by the light, was photographed on my balcony.
2.5 mm head-abdomen; Minas de Riotinto, Friday the 13th.
Although familiar-looking, I can't find it. :|

Yes, it looks like an elongated Drosophila! ;)

Most of the genera of Drosophilinae are modified
Drosophila. Millions of years ago a
Drosophila landed in Hawaii, lost some weight, and returned to the mainland as a slim
Scaptomyza. By modern taxonomic guidelines
Scaptomyza should be merely a subgenus of
Drosophila or all the subgenera of
Drosophila should be promoted to full genera.
