I found on two evenings a putative Macrocera female on an illuminated sheet. With Mikes Insect Keys I concluded easily its identity as Macrocera pusilla. However, in the Dutch site waarneming.nl, I did not find any mention of that species. Is there a more current synonym So, what is the status of M pusilla on the European continent/Netherlands?

For now you will find it on waarneming.nl as
propleuralis. This species is one of the species still to be recorded formally from the Netherlands that I have in a manuscript. The synonymisation is not yet formally done either.

Thanks, but then it puzzles me that in Mikes Insect Keys, M. propleuralis keys seperately from M pusilla. I concluded against propleuralis because of the shorter wings (3,5 instead of the 5mm of propleuralis) and the lateral dark longitudinal stripe on thorax bend down, but do not reach the dark flecks on and above the notopleuron, as they should do in M. propleuralis.
Could M nana be a synonym for M pusilla? M nana does not appear in Mikes keys.
