Russia, Leningrad district, Lava river. Incubated from pupae found under a layer of fontinalis on river rocks. This must be Limnophora riparia. Is it true?

At least adult is L. riparia

Nikita, thank you. Since the adults emerged from this pupparium, they undoubtedly belong to the same species. Maybe you know what the larvae of this species actually eat? Where they concentrate, there are not too many Simulidae larvae, which are listed as the main food.

Eugene, I never worked with larvae. Ask Cranefly (= Marina Krivosheina). I'll send her link on your post.

Larvae of L. riparia are predators, feed on Simuliidae larvae and possibly on larvae of other aquatic insects.
