Hello,

I photographed this fly on Monte Bazzano (AQ), Italy, 700m a.s.l. on March 16th 2024. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?
I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures, it was a very windy day.

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Ah, the date is actually a big help.
It is P. meridionalis

Given the quality of the pictures I wasn't hoping for a species identification, so this is great! Thank you very much!

To be clear: the ID is positve on pics only and the date confirms it
