Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachina lurida?

The tachinid was observed 22nd May 2024, Trelde Skov, Fredericia, Denmark.
Could it be Tachina lurida? I don't think the species has been observed in Denmark before, but it is seen quite north in Gernamy.
Unfortunately only one image.

It is a female and it is off, lacking the dust bands.

I think this is marklini. In which case the record is pretty far to the south...

So Nowickia has been incorporated into Tachina?
If it's marklini it would be a rare(?) case of a species moving south. The current trend is of course the opposite.

Ah, tibia is yellow, I missed that. And I misjudged the width of vertex, it is actually narrower that it seems at first look. So it is the male of T. lurida, that explains the lot.
