Hi,
today I took a few pictures of a small fly on a leaf (at app. knee height) and I think it might be a Phasia-species. Can that be confirmed/excluded from the attached image? Is there any chance to determine the species?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Garden in Munich (-West), leaf at knee height, 20.05.2024, app. 5-6 mm

Greetings, Uli

It is not Phasia because cell r5 is open.

Ectophasia has open cell r5 and wings with yellow base and dark crossband.

Hi John!

Thank you for the clue. Once you know it, its obvious ;). So it should be Ectophasia sp., with E. crassipennis being an obvious option.

Greetings, Uli
