Certainly not nubila. Maybe trivialis, but I do not know the species of your region. Ciao a Lazio.

Why certainly not P. nubila? There are reports of N. pilulata, N. compta, N. sanae (N. palustris sp. group) in Italy, and a dubious record of N. aff. hirticornis sp. group. I could not find an updated checklist of italian Psychodidae though, not to mention a checklist of the species of this genus.

Male nubila have a prominent black and white 'horn' on the nose and a contrasty thorax. See kind of field guide with very limited geographical range here: https://www.at-a-lanta.nl/weia/Motmuggen.html

This table is outdated, there are some flaws in it!

This can be many species and even quite some genera, Like Pneumia, Pericoma, Berdeniella, to name a few.
