I found this fly in Béziers (Hérault - France). it resembles Anthomyia illocata, the presence of which in Europe does not seem assured to me.

I think it's a Limnophora obsignata (Muscidae)

Hello,
I think L. obsignata is suppose to have 2 black presutural patches and 4 dc post, this one has only 3 dc post !

Hello Eugene, L. obsignata is not described in Gregor et al - so I "stole" it from your https://galerie-i...gnata.html. And I thought the patch (or 2 patches) close to the occiput are not visible on this photo (like some do in the above mentioned collection). 3 dc post are visible but I think before the last row there could be sockets of third, broken bristles?

Thanks anyway Eric.
