The very pale abdomen on this Empidid caught my eye. Can anyone help me with the ID?
13 July 2007, mountains of West Virginia USA, on daisy, at the edge where forest meets meadow.

I don't think that vein R2+3 is forked so this is more likely to be Rhamphomyia perhaps.
There are many Rhamphomyia sp with white abodomen and this seems to correlate with swarming / display activity in sunshine. Forest edged and clearings are quite typical for this sort of species
