Grateful for the identification of this parasitic fly that emerged from a caterpillar of Trabala pallida (Lasiocampidae).
Seems to be a Blepharipa sp.

Pupal cases - the lighter colour one on the right is an empty pupal case left behind after the fly emerged.

There are many species described from China by Sun & Chao, all which I have never seen.
Moreover, this specimen is a female ...


so, for me it ends here, alas.

by the way, for what it is worth: it keys out to D. subanajama, which is Oriental.
But known from southern China.
So this is a clear candidate
