This Tachinid looked familiar to me at first sight (colouration similar to Cylindromyia or Eriothrix), but it seems to be something different.
Observed on 14th July 2023 on the edge of an abandoned sandpit (Lüneburg, eastern Lower Saxony, Germany).

Indeed, this species is not listed for Lower Saxony yet, if I'm not mistaken.
