Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae, Musca ? from Romania

Hi,

another fly from today (8 february 2008), from window.
i will say that is from Musca but i don't know to go further. is possible?
that exemplar is collected.

with so reddish abdomen?... Why not Musca autumnalis?

My feeling is also M. autmnalis. M. domestica males IMHO should have a broad frons and if the abomen is yellow, than the black markings are less distinct. Also M. domestica male is leaner. But I may be wrong.

I also would call this M. autumnalis, for the reasons Crex mentioned.
