Hello,
I photographed this fly in my garden today. The size was approximately 6-7 mm? Does it belong to the genus Tachinidae or to another genus? Is it possible to identify the species?

Hello Volker, I think it's a male Bellardia - quite likely a
B. viarum.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your answer. Then it is not a tachinid but a blowfly. Should I write spec. or can you distinguish B. viarum from B. obsoleta, B. pandia, B. vespillo and B. vulgaris on the basis of my pictures?
Greetings, Volker

Fore tibia has 1 pv bristle: excludes
