Hello,
today I found this pretty wasp in the garden sucking nectar from a creeping thistle, sorry but I don't have a picture from the front. Please help identify.

Hello Volkmar, it's a
Polistes - and probably
P. dominula-group. To be sure we should see frontal and lateral images.

Thank you very much for your support Eric, unfortunately the wasp disappeared after a short time, so I could not take more pictures. :|

Antennal flagellum seems to be completely bright orange. In that case, it is Polistes dominula.
