Hi,
yesterday I took a few pictures of a medium-sized fly on the blossoms of
Solidago canadensis in our garden.
The spines at the end of the abdomen seems to suggest that this could be a Tachinidae. Is that correct and is it possible to narrow that down any further?
Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), 17.08.2023, app. 6-8 mm
Greetings, Uli

Hi Uli, you are right: it's a male
Eriothrix rufomaculata (Tachinidae).
