Hello Diptera-Forum,

maybe, this is a simple problem. However, not so for me.

The attached diptera species I photographed on June 23rd 2007 in the area of an (artificial) alder marshland in Hagen, Germany - 175 m above see level.

The fly was placed on a leaf of Petasites hybridus. Maybe, it belongs to the family Syrphidae?

Thank you so far,

Josef
