Can anyone help me with this fly? Unfortunatelly I don't have a dorsal view.

location: Barcelos, Portugal

I have the same opinion.;) as I told you in msn, it is Scenopinidae. :P

I think Paul is right about the genus.

Steve will say more. He is an expert on this family too. ;)

S. bulbapennis and S. glabrifrons are the species known for Portugal.

Most probably niger and fenestralis can be found there as well.
