I spotted this beauty ONLY once time. :(

The flight was one of the most quick I've seen.

This is undoubtely one of my FAVORITE flies!!! Myopa picta forever! :D

hmm... even so with 20?C... I would expect much more higher temperatures to see Myopa picta.

only 18 ?C during the midday.. but in the rest.. cold.. brrr.. :(

Maybe 22? C at afternoon... and this fly was at the sun...

yes. It is typical to see conopids in sunshine. Here the temperature is not enough to enable the seeing of conopids. I hope to see them in next weeks. :D

Hmm, the brown spring Myopas (testacea, vicaria, strandi, tessellatipennis in Finland) are quite active at +8 C, so temperatures are certainly not a limiting factor for these flies.

thanks Jere. I will try to find out Myopa today and tomorrow. Today it is a pleasant day over there. Unfortunately here around there are no flowers at all.. rare to see these in this occasion.
