That was what I suspected! I saw these guys here in Stockholm may-september 2007 in quite large numbers (see my previous post: http://www.dipter...ad_id=7428). Indeed it seems this species is moving north.

It's definitely moving north. P. barbifrons was found as new for Finland a few years ago (record still unpublished). By 2007 it is pretty much everywhere in southern Finland and second in numbers only to P. obesa.
