Could it be Trichinomyia flavipes ?
Photo taken in Belgium (20 november), the fly was about 2mm.
Is it a male ?

It could be, but I do not have my keys here to confirm it.

Hi Christine,
Probably, your identification is correct, although, the legs of this specimen appear to be darker than usual. There is another species just with blackinsh legs (T. fuscipes, Alps), but it has not been found from Belgium. Most probably you have a female, at least the pics in lower right corner.
All the best,
Igor:)

Thanks Igor :)

All the pictures are of the same specimen but as the fly was only 2mm it was'nt easy to take good pictures.
