Hello,
I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy, on August 28th 2022. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?
Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Are you sure, Roger ?
Looks like a Bithia to me. Proboscis is quite long, but not geniculate, setulae on wing veins are lacking, etc.

I'm NEVER sure Theo. :S But on this occasion I'm very sure that you are correct as usual. :)
Now I'll get back to editing some photos of Orcas I took today. Those I am sure of ;)
Regards
Roger
