Not Keroplatus (not even 'Keroplatini' because the antennae are not strongly flattened. Somewhere in the group with Orfelia-like genera. Not enough details of chaetotaxy are visible.

How was it identified?

P.J. Chandler 1994, page 45: There are no previously described Palaearctic species but a single male from Italy belongs to an undescribed Truplaya, not closely related to this group of the genus.
P.J. Chandler 2025: The specimens are in the NHM in London. According to my notes there are 2 pinned males staged together. They are labeled Spilamberto-Emilia, August 1923, collected by C. Menozzi and presented by E. Brunetti. I had intended to describe it as a new species but evidently didn't get round to it.

No setae on the visible part of prosternum: subgenus Truplaya (Truplaya s.s., 18 spp. sensu Evenhuis 2006). Any idea about the species?
