This is a fly see on Euphorbia flower on may.
Perhaps Tephritidae ?

Interesting and very nice picture!
The closest I can come so far is
Hypochra albipennis, a member of the picture-winged flies (family Ulidiidae, formerly Otitidae). Needs confirmation, though.

Okay, not
Hypochra albipennis but an
Otites species, most likely
O. lamed. I have no furtherinformation available yet, but I'll keep you posted.

There is still the description of a similar Central European species to check, but this is indeed most likely
Otites lamed.

I have just returned from Greece with ... lamed.
Lamed should be easy (according to Seguy, ...)
because of the bristlets all the way long on vein R1.

You are completely right, but unfortunately, that is not always visible on the photos. ;)
