Hello,
This car cleaner I met in a small town on the Baltic Island of Usedom in August. It was the biggest fly I ever saw. My guess is Tabanus sudeticus - any better suggestions?

There is only one fly bigger than the male of Tabanus sudeticus with us,
and...

that's the female of Tabanus sudeticus.

Well shown male T. sudeticus, all features nicely visible.

Well, that's the optimum fly size for my pocket camera's autofocus - especially on a neutral background. If only all flies were that big!
Thanks for confirmation.
