Hello Tachinid-addicts (and everybody else)
Is it possible to identify this Cylindromyia to species ? The picture is not very sharp, but it is the only one I have.

I don't think it is possible because features like vibrissae and leg bristles aren't visible - and it isn't bicolor (the easy one!). :)

True, the black vittae on the thorax are very broad, if the picture is not misleading, so in nearly all cases this will be a male of C. interrupta. Given locality (and date), this might be considered a positive ID.
