Is the posterodorsal bristle visible on this fly (first image) not a Phaonia bristle, because it is located too low on t3?

Yes, too low. It's a preapical bristle.

Thx Stephane, I am gathering these H cf impuncta images. More and more I think there may be photos showing two species in my gallery named as such.
