Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Bombylius or maybe a Systoechus ?

Who knows this pretty humblefly, found in D-59469 Bilme, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, May.13.2021. Can it be identified ?

Hi Volkmar, it is a Bombylius (vein R-M approx. at mid of discal cell). But I cannot see enough (colour of femora, bristles on wingbase) to name the species.

Probably B. venosus female, but this is a difficult group. At the minimum we should see if there a re strong black hairs behind the eye. Whixh is not visible here.
